SOCIALS: @ChelseaShag

Canadian-born and Atlanta-claimed, Chelsea Shag holds many titles in her musical journey, constantly evolving and creating. Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. Her live show, a colorful blend of R&B, neo-soul, and jazz with Jimi Hendrix era rock+roll and guitar solos, has garnered her a passionate fan base. With an acoustic EP due out early 2019 and a full-length record she's produced to follow, Chelsea's ready to show more sides of herself musically. "I've finally found my stride as a songwriter and producer in the studio and my sound is more me than ever," Chelsea explains of her new adventures in producing music for herself and others. Drawing a likeness closer and closer to artist/producers like Pharrell Williams, Jack Antanoff (Lorde, Taylor Swift), and Jacob Collier, Chelsea is an artist to follow.

"Recording Satellites was an a new adventure for me because my label, Madison Records, brought in a new producer, Stefan Skarbek, from Mirrorball Entertainment. Stefan worked with one of my idols, Amy Winehouse, in the beginning of her career. Stefan really pushed me to connect deeper to my songs, the words in my songs, what am I really trying to say? I was listening to Lorde's Pure Heroine, Beyonce's Beyonce, and Justin Timberlake's 20/20 Experience so you can hear the pop influences with my signature funk. This album is a collection of songs addressing our ability to hold on to our past loves through technolodgy and the adventure of falling in love outside of the tech world and truly feeling a connection, not the idea of the connection."
